Today is a great day for music, and a bad day for my VISA. Montreal-based record label, Turbo Recordings, has opened a digital music shop. There is nothing else quite like the sound of Turbo—they’ve been releasing the most avant-garde, cutting-edge electronic music for the better part of a decade. With a roster of incredible talent that spans the globe, you won’t find anything quite like the gems you’ll find on Turbo Recordings.
It looks like the entire catalogue is available for download, with individual tracks priced at $2.25.
If you’re a fan of electronic musique, and have yet to discover the Turbo “sound”, you’ll never forget the day you read these words, and your life changed…

Today’s FWA SOTD is a unique experience that challenges the definition of a website. The experience is emotional and moving. A true web experience.

I’ve really grown to like Twitter. If treated with respect, it can be a great marketing tool, and a fantastic place to learn new things about just about anything—in our case, that would be design. If we didn’t “tweet“, I know we would have missed-out on a multitude of things. I’ve been introduced to some amazing talent that I did not know even existed, done some great tutorials, and viewed some world-class interaction design work.
As amazing as all of this is, however, none of it compares to the fact that a good portion of the Sterling-Cooper office follows Analogue. I get immense joy from reading the “period-tweets” coming from Don Draper, Roger Sterling, Pete Campbell, and Sal Romano to name but a few. You gotta’ hand it to AMC—this IS guerrilla marketing. It’s completely re-ignited my desire for season 3, and even got me thinking I should revisit season 2. We certainly are not alone in this thinking, either—thousands of people follow the cast of Mad Men on Twitter.
Here’s to you Don.

I had the opportunity to take in a screening of a fantastic film titled One Week. The delivery of the film is definitely unique, and the cinematography is stunning. Defintely a film I recommend to everyone—especially Canadians. I’m not going to lie—this one gave me a few tears.
