Originally, I was going to link this post to the FontFabric website (which is a great type foundry I wanted to share with the world), where there are several free, highly original, EPS type-sets available for download. Since they are down, you can grab them here. I’ll re-post this when they are back online.

Just back from a meeting in Montreal with a great design firm by the name of Why Not Blue. It’s always refreshing to shoot-the-shit with like-minded design professionals (and nice people).
It was long overdue anyway, but we compiled a selection of our work (some of it not listed on our site) for the meeting, and shot a short film of our work “in action”, set to the music of Boards of Canada.
I’ve always loved spending time in the city of Montreal. I hate the traffic, but the vibe of the city is like nothing else…

Another brilliant poster design by the master, Josef Muller-Brockmann. I had not see this one. Found via AisleOne. This man’s body of work is now, for the most part, over 60 years old. Much of it looks like it could have been produced last week.

One of the most original and unique ideas I’ve come across in a while. Designs like this always give me a charge, and force me to explore uncharted territories in my own designs. An amazing web-art experience.

“Filmmakers Michael Bernard and Gavin Froome take you on a journey through three generations of modernist movements on the West Coast of North America.”

For some reason, we completely missed this. Konigi looks like an amazing destination for design resources—for the serious, dedicated, new media professional.
We take design very seriously, so it is a refreshing change from all the digital noise, to see such a well-crafted design resource—we all know all our craft can be misrepresented very easily.

Every now and then, an iPhone application is released to the App Store that is like nothing else, or at the very least, considered highly original. Josh Davis has done just this: released a signature iPhone app, that combines his love of generative art, originality, and digital beauty. Along with “Bloom”, and to a degree “Pollock” (and a small handful of other apps), this is something that you’ll most likely find yourself lost in for hours at a time—and I’ve only been using it for 20 minutes…
