Underneath the sounds of Thievery Corporation there have always been very politically charged messages—you just have to listen. It wasn’t surprising to hear that Eric Hilton is behind a new film entitled Babylon Central. Another work of art that demands attention.

Great post over at CommandOpera. This same advice can be applied to designers of all disciplines. Find what makes you unique or sets you apart and use it—own it!

I think about Stanley Kubrick at least once a day. I guess some would call it an obsession, I just see it as a normal part of life. So I’m not apologizing for my continuous posts about the master.

Yep, it’s not a joke. Not at all. McDonalds (USA) re-designs it’s corporate web presence, and does a fantastic job at doing so.

Between Feb 2007 and March 2008, Vancouver native Sean Aiken travelled North America. His goal was to work 52 different jobs in 52 weeks and the name of his project was The One Week Job Project. Since his successful completion of the project it has blossomed into a Book, Film and Program. I think this Canadian can be an inspiration to many.
